Ranges available in 40 inches are:
The series 6 Samsung LED TV, the 40" UE40B6000 models come with built in freeview tuner and is full HD Ready. They use Samsung's Edge-lit LED backlights to create an extra thin (only 29mm's) design which is perfect for wall mounting.
The next model up from the series 6 is the series 7, Samsung LED Television, which also have 100Hz, refresh rates but also include Samsung content library and wireless enabled internet connectivity. There are two slightly different models in the series 7, they are the Rose red UE40B7000 and the Platinum black UE40B7020.
The top of the range series 8, 40" Samsung LED TVs, the UE40B8000 builds on the 7 series features and comes with 200Hz refresh rates, making it ideal for watching sport and fast action films. It also comes with a very stylish aluminium base plate to set it apart from the lower models.
The 40ZX1 model represents Sony in the 40" LED TV size range, this super thin LCD screen is only 9.9mm's thin and comes with separate wireless media receiver to keep cabling to the television to a minimum. It also features 100hz refresh rates and comes with Sony's Bravia 2 processor.
The LE600 Sharp 40" LED TV has a full double-domed white LED backlight array to give a uniform light output and combined with the sharp X-Gen LCD panel gives stunning colours and deep blacks. They are also 1080P full HD ready and with built in freeview tuners ready for the digital switchover.
The Sharp LE700 40" LED Television, add to already impressive spec of the LE600 range with a quicker response time of only 4ms and 100hz refresh rates, they also come with an extra HDMI, giving it 4 in total and E-motion de-juddering technology to keep your viewing experience smooth and seamless throughout.
The 8000 series Philips LED TVs feature 100Hz refresh rates with HD natural motion processing to provide fluent razor sharp images and pixel precise technology to create 4 trillion colours to ensure the best quality images. The 40PFL8664 Philips LED televisions also come with DLNA compliant Ethernet connection allowing you to view content from your home computer or the internet and even include NET TV software.
The 9000 series Philips LCD tv with LED Pro full local dimming, segmented backlight produces a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and has 200Hz clear LCD processing to produce silky smooth picture quality with sharp contrast and bright vibrant colours. The Philips 40PFL9704 LED HDTV also features the Ambilight spectra 3 feature, which casts a light from behind the screen onto the surrounding area, providing a more immersive viewing experience.
LED Televisions Coming soon:
KDL-40NX803 40" Sony LED Television, features Sony's edge-lit backlighting system and Monolithic design, they come with 4 HDMI and 1 USB connection and have integrated Wireless LAN (WI-FI) connection and DLNA compatibility. The Sony KDL40NX803 which has built in light sensors and Motionflow 200Hz refresh technology will be available in the UK from Mach/April 2010
Sony KDL-40NX703B, the next model down from the NX803 still come with many of the same features, including built-in Wi-Fi for easy access to internet content and monolithic design which is 6.4CM's deep. The USB video player is capable of playing AVC, AVCHD and MPEG4 formats and the Sony KDL40NX703B has 100Hz motionflow technology and will be available from March/April 2010 with the KDL-40NX703WU white version being available later in the year.
KDL-40EX703 40 inch LED TV from Sony uses LED Edge light backlight system and has Motionflow 100Hz refresh technology to smooth out any motion blur. The KDL40EX703 is also Wi-Fi ready and has 4 HDMI connections, 1 USB port which is capable of playing AVC/AVCHD/MPEG4 and DivX formats and 2 scart connectors and will be available from March/April 2010
KDL-40EX603 Sony LED TV being available later in 2010 will feature Sony's LED Edge-lighting system and slim frame design with MPEG 4 High Definition tuner built in and will have 4 HDMI connections 1 DivX capable USB port and 2 scart connectors.
Sony KDL-40LX903 3D LED TV, due later in 2010 this 40" LED TV will be feature integrated full high definition 3D capability, with built in HD tuner and 200Hz refresh technology, the KDL40LX903 will also come with integrated wireless LAN for easy internet access.
