2010-2011 Ranges of 42 inch LED televisions available now or later in 2010:
The LG 42LE8900 Infinia model has LG's Full LED Slim backlight, which produces even better quality pictures, with deeper blacks and more realistic colours, all without sacrificing the depth of the set. The 42" LE8 series set also have 200Hz refresh rates, netcast entertainment access and a built-in freeview HD tuner.
LG's 42" 42LX6900 LED 3D TV is one of the only 3D ready televisions available at these sizes, they have LG's LED Edge-lit backlighting system and 3D active system that even comes with a pair of active shutter glasses. The 42LX6900 42 inch television also features 'netcast' entertainment package, a built-in freeview HD tuner and 200Hz refresh rates.
The LG 42LE7900 has a built in freeview HD TV tuner, with 100Hz refresh rates as well as having 'netcast' entertainment access. Netcast enables you to be able to connect the TV directly to the internet, without the use of a pc and as such you can make use of features such as Skype to Skype video calls. The 42LE7900 also has Bluetooth connectivity and are due out later in May 2010.
LGs 42" 42LE5900 LED Televisions have a Edge-lit LED backlighting system and 100Hz refresh technology, they also feature a LAN connection which is DNLA enabled, so its easy to connect to online content with the netcast features. The 42LE5900 have a built in freeview HD TV tuner and are wireless ready.
LG's 42LE5300 LED Edge-lit 42 inch HDTV features 100HZ refresh technology with a 2.4ms response time. They also feature the latest intelligent sensor 2 technology from LG which can automatically adjust the brightness and contrast levels to match the light in the room, to help reduce energy consumption and eye strain. The 42LE5300 LED HDTV's are available now.
Panasonics TXL42D25 42" LED TV is part of their much accredited Viera LCD range, the D series is the 1st of Panasonics LED TVs. They feature 200Hz refresh technology and can easily be connected to other AV equipment via the 4 HDMI or USB connection. The TX-L42D25 will be coming to LED-TV Prices soon.

The 42" LG LED Television is also available as the LG 42SL9500 model which is exclusive to Currys, Dixons and PC World, this exclusive model comes with a different stand compared to the 42SL9000 model.
The 42" Philips LED TV comes with Philips' unique Ambilight system which spreads a glow from behind the screen onto the surrounding wall, automatically adjusting the colours to the pictures being displayed on the LCD screen. The 42-PFL9803 model has Philips LED Lux backlight system which is a full auto-dimming LED backlight that provides a dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 and with the aid of 100Hz technology produces a stunning smooth picture quality.
