LG SL9000 Borderless range.
The 1st LED TVs produced by LG are the SL9000 models which are the latest models in LG's 'Borderless' range which has no space between the LCD screen and the bezel, giving a the impression of the television set being frameless.

Available as either the 42 inch LG-42SL9000 or the 47 inch LG-47SL9000 these new LED HDTV sets feature a edge-lit backlighting system which saves space, resulting in a ultra-thin design which is only 29mms deep and reduce power consumption by up to 40% in comparison to older CCFL backlit LCD's.

100Hz TruMotion
LG's 100Hz TruMotion technology increases the number of images displayed to one hundred a second, by inserting extra images into the sequence of pictures, resulting in sharp images with reduced blurring, even in fast moving sequences and combined with a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 produces a smooth crisp picture with vivid colours.

HD-Ready 1080p
LG LED televisions are 1080p HD Ready with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is the highest currently available which delivers incredible picture clarity and vibrant colours, they also feature a built-in free-view tuner which is capable of receiving both digital and analogue signals through a standard aerial and as such is for the digital switchover without the need for a extra decoder box.
