Sharp LED TV Information
Sharp have two complete ranges of LED Backlit LCD TV's as the high end models of their AQUOS range, the LE600 and LE700 LED Televisions use an array of Ultra Bright White L.E.D.s (Light Emitting Diodes) as backlighting instead of CCFL tubes which are used in their lower ranges of LCD TV's.
Sharp Full Screen LED backlight TVs use hundreds of LEDs arranged in rows from corner to corner to cover the entire screen and includes a unique "double-dome" light amplifier lens and multi-fluorescents on each diode, enabling high brightness and colour purity. As a result the colours are more vibrant and brighter whilst providing deeper blacks resulting in a finer detail of darker pictures.
The use of LED backlighting has the benefits of reducing energy consumption by up to 40% compared to traditional CCFL backlit LCD tv's, whilst the use of Ultra Bright White L.E.D's reduces the cost significantly compared to RGB Backlighting systems such as in Sharps Previous XS1-E models.
Both the AQUOS LE600 and the AQUOS LE700 ranges use Sharp's new X-GEN panel which has wider pixel apertures to allow brighter images and AQUOS Colour management system to aid the precise execution of colours to be displayed on the X-Gen LCD panel.
As you would expect from the newest technology top of the range LCD televisions they are all 1080p full HD Ready with resolutions of 1920x1080 and come in the popular 16:9 widescreen format with dynamic contrast ratios of up to 2,000,000:1 and come with a host of connection possibilities they have built in freeview tuners and are ready for the digital switchover in the UK.
