The 42LE5900 42” LED Televisions from LG feature LG’s LED Edge-lit backlighting system which enables the HDTV set to be only 29.3 mms deep whilst also helping to reducing energy consumption compared to older flat screen TVs.

The LG 42LE5900 uses TruMotion interpolation technology which increases the number of images from 50 a second to 100, which results in smoother judder free pictures, even in fast moving sequences.

The LG 42LE5900 has a screen resolution of 1920x1080p and is full HD ready, to make the most of the picture quality there is also a built in Freeview HD tuner, so its capable of viewing free high definition channels such as BBC HD, itv1HD and 4hd.

On top of all of that the LG-42LE5900 LED TVs have 4 HDMI connections so you can easily connect other devise such as a sky box and a DivX-HD compatabile USB 2.0 port. Whilst in-built intelligent sensors can match brightness and contrast levels to light conditions in the room and therefore reduces energy consumption.
