Samsung Large format displays to be LED in 2010

Samsung have announced that later this year (2010) their Syncmaster professional LCD displays will be LED backlit. The giant Large Format Displays (LFD) LED is Samsungs thinnest, lightest and most energy efficient professional LCD display, measuring only 4cms thick, they will be available in 46 inch and 55 inch versions which Samsung say are 43 percent lighter than similar models.

• 100 Hz panel refresh rate
• Full PC- and video-connectivity
• 40GB hard drive
• Windows XP-embedded
• High-speed network connectivity
