The UE46C8000 has a Edge-lit LED backlight built in precision dimming technology, this stops any halo effect that occurs on some edge-lit sets and providing more intense contrast and a crisper picture, whilst still enabling the set to be a mere 23.9mms thick.

UE46C8000 Samsung LED TVs uses the latest shutter glass 3D technology to breathtaking effect, the shutter glasses work by 1st blocking the left lens and then blocking the right, all faster than the blink of an eye and this produces far more lifelike 3D pictures. The LED 8000 series televisions are also capable of converting 2D pictures into 3D material, as whilst also being able to show 3D source material from a 3D device which is connected via one of the 4 v1.4 HDMI ports.

As well as the 4 HDMI connections Samsung’s UE46C8000 LED televisions also have 2 Scart connection, 2 USB connectors, and is wireless DLNA enabled, this lets you easily view pictures, videos and music that is stored elsewhere on your home network. You can even directly record programmes to a USB hard drive, so you never have to miss your favourite show again.
