The 40 LC40LE821/LC40LE820 HDTV sets are part of Sharps 2010 Aquos LED range and feature their edge-lit backlight system and the X-Gen UV2A LCD panel with its unique photo-alignment technology that removes any backlight leakage to achieve high contrast ratios as well as high energy efficiency.
The difference between the Sharp LC40LE820 and the LC40LE821 is that the LE820 set has a built in freeview tuner, whilst the LE821 sets have a DVB-T2 Freeview HD tuner. Both of the 40 inch Sharp Quattron Aquos LED TVs also have a 2.1 channel HD sound system, with a built in 15 watt sub to provides a sound quality sound quality to match the picture.
